final project

right now, im going with the idea of a silent movie type thing, but with different noises. im going to have a situation going on where alot of things are dropped and have the wrong sound effects to them to intensify the mood, like a if a grape is being smushed i will have the sound of glass breaking and so on. it takes the context of the silent movie and adds different sounds to it. i am not entirely sure yet what the story line/ how im going to shoot the movie yet, or if im going to do it as an animation project or with real people. 

i need to research how im going to do the project and what story line im going to take. i also have to decide on how im going to do it, whether it is stop motion animation or with real people. i need to work out the concept and the story line. i have to check out a video camera if i do it as an action film with real people. by next week, i want to have my story worked out and my idea and have a story board made up. i also what to shoot whatever necessary. then the week after that i will put it all together with the sounds.

1. explore the option of claymation. this has not been covered in class and it is something that seems so fun and interesting and would love to do it. i really liked the animation project and this is something that i can expand on to make it an even deeper project. i could even do a silent movie type of aesthetic and make it black and white or just like a silent movie format.

2. journey to quitting my addiction to coffee. play off the montage project idea and push it even farther by having better camera angles than my last project and really playing with imagery.

3.take an episode of a children's show and make it totally different and give it a different plot and meaning.

for this assignment, we had to track something for a period of time. i tracked the snow outside my window.

Tracking Project

For my tracking project, i took pictures twice a day outside my window at the snow. i tracked the snow accumulation and how much it melted each day. luckily, the week i tracked it, it snowed once, got unusually hot, and most of the pictures looked the same. additionally, it rained the last day. all in all, i think it was pretty successful?
